The Ministry of road transport and highways is highly concerned about the rapid increase of the road safety crisis in the country which now kills more than 1.38 lakh people every year.
To stop such an alarming death an urgent action is required not only by the Government but also by the common masses.
What is happening on the road worries all of us. Because everyone has to use the roads. Therefore, the question arises, we must do something without delay.
The government is doing their best, still the results are not enough. Till the common masses is not aware, all the efforts are useless. In the recent past years the ministry has undertaken several schemes and initiatives to work towards making our roads safer.
Road accidents are the one of the biggest killer of people in India. Sometimes it is again seen that people are hesitant to render immediate help to the road accidents victims.
The victims lay wounded on the road for sometime till the arrival of police. Delay in providing medical help in such cases sometimes in fatal. Therefore to create awareness among the common people is mandatory.
Here the question arise if the students are aware at the school level, we can minimize the accidents by providing them road safety rules.
Road safety Olympiad is one of the best step in this direction. If conducts tests at school levels so that future generation will be able to reduce the death rate.
It conducts test award them with certificate, provides Medal and so on. Road safety Olympiad is successfully working since 2018. Since then it has done very much in this direction and is still bound to do desired work in this field.
